The symposium was jointly hosted by National Higher Institutional Marxist Theoretical Discipline Study Association; the School of Marxism of Xiamen University; Fujian Provincial Social and Scientific Research Base for Xiamen University Research Center for Socialism with Chinese Characteristics; Xiamen University Institute of Marxism and China Development; and Editorial Department of Marxist Theoretical Discipline Research, etc. It was attended by more than 120 experts and scholars from over 60 universities and colleges like Peking University, Jilin University, Wuhan University, Zhejiang University and Beijing Normal University.
